Project Summary
Brooklyn Org grants $600,000 to five nonprofits at the annual Spark Prize Breakfast. Wingo began working on the second annual breakfast in 2019 to help with fundraising, design and event day program. The event has grown and evolved to robustly showcase the five Spark Prize Winners and inspire the community in attendance.
Organization's Mission
Brooklyn Org is a new model for community philanthropy. Building on the “big idea” born 15 years ago as Brooklyn Community Foundation, they bring together Brooklynites, Brooklyn backers, businesses, and broader believers in equity and justice to make Brooklyn a beacon for the world. They are on a mission to spark lasting social change, mobilizing people, capital and expertise for a fair and just Brooklyn.
