Friends-New York Gala

Project Summary

Friends of the Children - New York is one of Wingo NYC’s longest tenured event clients. We began working with Friends - New York in 2018 and have helped grow their event from grossing $500k to now just over $1.8 million. We’ve helped Friends - New York create a unique gala experience by working with Chef JJ Johnson to bring the taste of Harlem to their gala, and a karaoke concert experience with Tony-Award winner Lena Hall. This is the gala bankers and lawyers actually want to attend.

Organization's Mission

Friends of the Children–New York is a chapter of a nationwide organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty through salaried, professional mentoring. They select children facing multiple systemic obstacles from Harlem and the South Bronx and commit to working with those children from kindergarten to graduation. 12+ years, no matter what.
