Betelhame Desalegne

Betelhame is part of our wonderful fundraising team. She is passionate about environmental and social justice. Her commitment to Wingo NYC’s mission stems from her own experiences with some of the very causes our clients champion, as well as her dedication to helping ensure all our clients can effectively realize their goals.

 

Betelhame was born in Ethiopia, then immigrated to the South as a young girl, and is now based in New York. She holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Environmental Science and Media from Georgia State University. Her professional background includes working in education, advertising, an environmental nonprofit, administration, and creative freelancing. Her diverse background makes her highly capable of adapting to the various needs and challenges our clients face. In her spare time, she enjoys connecting with nature, watching films, photography, and cooking.
